the leipzig factory from above
birth place of our 1er...
i figured we needed something else to keep this board a float with fresh news so here is the satellite image of the factory with lots of new cars! http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...wloc=addr&om=1 see if u can find the plant, the "test track" and other parts and i may be going crazy but alot of the cars parked in the completed lot look like 1er's! enjoy! -d

Did you notice that the 6th ONE from the right in the North (top) row is just painted onto the ground? That is a military deception tactic.... Things are going on over at Leipzig... Actually under closer examination there are quite a few of them painted on the ground. Okay, all humor aside (or not) what's with that?

Obviously Sedona Red isn't popular at all with the public.
It seems that about 90% of the cars are covered by black, gray, and silver, and nearly all by those three colors plus white -- rather typical customer choices for other BMW cars too. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the red ones on the lot are those being made available to the motor press journalists.
