Hi

I picked up my 128i from Crevier 2 weeks ago and have been lurking here since then. This is my first BMW (moved from Protege5). So far I have only driven 198 miles (I fly alot). I chose this dealer due to its close proximity to John Wayne Airport as I am able to drop my car at the dealer, and they take me to the airport (they have a shuttle) which saves me $69 per week in parking costs, when I come back they pick me up at the airport and take me to the car, and its washed/vacuumed/cleaned. Looking back maybe I should have used this cost savings as a justification for a 135i instead :-) --- No regrets however :-)

I got the cradle for the iPhone, but it seems it needs another component for it to fit into the arm rest. Also picked up the metal pedals, which I will do today.

nice

one word of caution...

be careful with letting them wash your car all the time....unless you are sure of the quality of their work

@pinksnyper - the shuttle is included in every car you buy from them. Sales Mgr said I could use shuttle every day and it still wouldnt cost me anything. Seemed like an awesome way to save some $$

@buckwheat986 - would washing the car poorly crew up the paint? prior to this car i was a get out the hose and spray the car off, who cares about water spots, kind of car owner. Now however, I am wanting to protect this car, and I am considering even doing Zaino (after seeing the pictures).

on a dark car it doesn't take much to mess up the finish...swirl marks and spider webs stuff...

dirty sponges, towels, and the like can mess it up fast....

i say do it yourself...at least for the first few months

i like the zaino idea for the protection...

Photo's as requested

These are all pre-tint. I will take a photo of pedals and iPhone adapter today if you are interested as well.

ps - not the greatest photos as they were taken while driving (at stoplight) last week on the way to drop car off to get tint/go to airport.

Congrats, it looks great.

What's your feedback on the paddle shifting?

@ GT3 - I am still getting used to the paddles. On my protege5 i had tiptronic shifting and used it all the time. I use the 128i shifter the same way, but trying to re-train my thought process on how to do it with the paddles, and through turns :-)

That's funny -- I ran across that same picture (of the side profile) on Flickr the other day while searching for 128i pictures.

Congratulations, it looks great!

The 128i looks great it black. I think it looks better than the black 135 for some reason...
