ECU Mods in Australia
Does anybody know what ECU mods are available for the 135i in Australia.
Proceed?, Split Second?, RD Sport? etc. If any available who are the distributors? |

I am sure Procede is around somewhere given that they raced at the Bathurst 24 hour production car race two years ago. Others I have no idea.
Southern BM owner Andrew is on this board. He is the sole distributor of Active Autowerke's products in Australia. I will be going down the Active Autowerke's path. It has so far had very good reputation, with no issue that I could find from the Americans. The pricing also seem reasonable if you go by their 335i prices. |

Can you give us a bit more detail about the product if you can. Potential pricing, power and torque increase, availability, other AA products (like the FMIC I see on another thread), exhaust etc. Oh and a stupid question. Will the FMIC come in black? Yes I understand it will be much less efficient in black, but having a FMIC really makes the car look fast and furious! Lol |

Hi all,
I am reluctant to give actual numbers until i have fitted a full kit to an Australian 135i. Its good to see it for myself on our local cars before we advertise numbers. Its not far away, at the moment there is the Active Processor, Front mounted Intercooler, and the Blow off valve. Exhaust is still a little while away! Way, we will see how they look, we can work something out regarding colour |

Thanks Andrew. I am reading some good things about the AA products, so I am looking forward to it. Whatabout Eisenmann exhaust? Any other performance parts available?

Andrew,
Would love to know how/if the Active Autowerkes piggy back tuner is affected by the new ECU and it's ability to detect reflashes and piggybacks? There's a bit of doom and gloom in my limited reading of the engine sub-forum. How will this affect us with forthcoming 1'ers? |

I am working on it day and night at the moment. I am currently reading on the other forums as well. Let's just wait and see what Active are up to, We are talking about it and plans are in place for testing etc, i have some kits coming and when the cars are released barring any news to the contrary i will be fitting one in late May
It's all good so far, forums can get carried away, we will see in the not too distant future. Sorry no ground breaking information for you, but i'm confident life will go on. |
