were you referring to the map? aislive/sea-web if its close to shore in northern europe, or vesseltracker; shine micro when closer to U.S. shores.

Are you guys able to track your cars with the VIN number yet? Or does this boat not support it?

I could be wrong, but I don't believe CA-bound ships support VIN-based tracking.

Our boat is presumably un-trackable at this point, having left the english channel. It's now somewhere in the Atlantic. Nothing to do now except wait until it's scheduled to go through the panama canal, at which point we can watch it on their web-cams.

Edit: Nobody (sane) would understand the sense of comraderie and bonding that comes from having your new car share an ocean voyage with a bunch of other people. Probably best not to mention it to friends, spouses, etc. :-)

Should be arriving at the canal entrance this evening or during the night. It is still not booked for passage, so could sit for 5-6 days in line as the canal is currently backed up. Time to start monitoring the canal webcams..

John, are you basing that on the position of the Helsinki Express (as per Nice1's post a few days ago), or some other way?

Also, if you can post the link to the panama canal crossing schedule showing PB's slot, I'd appreciate it. For some reason I can't seem to find that online.

The Helsinki Express has gone ahead of the PB as far as crossing the Canal goes. The PB is scheduled to arrive on 5/7 and has not booked its passage yet. You can keep an eye out for the PB based on this schedule.

It is supposed to be there may 7 according to this:

But the Helsink is almost there and we were ahead by quite a bit so I'm estimating arrival sometime during the night. I think it is a moot point as we won't likely get through any earlier though.
