How Many...
So my Blue Water is in production:smile: and I am very curious as to how many blue water 135i coupes there are in the country. I know this should probably be under the Blue Water thread but I want everyone to see this so I can get a somewhat accurate estimate. If you own or have ordered one please respond.
P.S. I have been a member of this forum for about a week and I am totally addicted.:roundel:

I've never seen a blue water, of course, I have yet to see any 1ers out and about.
Just curious - what color top you all getting to go with blue water?? Blue water just screams vert to me. |

I live an hour south of you, and my 1 is still the only one I've seen. Welcome to the site, I've been on since December, and have learned A LOT!!!!! The posters participating on here are very knowlegeable and polite. Basically "the only stupid question is the one you don't ask" kind of mentality here. It takes about seven weeks from day of order to your dealership in this part of the U.S...In the meantime, don't go too crazy waiting, it's worth the wait...........

Blue water is a Priority One option, which means it's only used when a customer specifically requests it and never for a car that's intended to be sold off the lot. Because of that I'd guess that the color is probably pretty rare.

My mom-in-law (aka zoom1 on here) has a Blue Water 128i Vert. and she lives in the Leesburg area. There should also be a bunch of pics of her car, for those that have not seen the color, if you search the posts from her username...

Well count one for me but I am stationed over in Germany for the time being. The color gets MANY compliments, you will not be disappointed but I think it is still a very unique/nitch color that you will not see everywhere you look.

Ordered mine back in April with delivery scheduled for sometime in July. Not sure why it is taking so long but I did ask for PC delivery. 135i coupe, Blue Water, black leather, premium and sport packages.

Stopped by a BMW dealer last week while I was out of town just to see what they had and they did a computer check of cars listed as coming in to the east coast and could only find one with blue water. So the color does seem to be rare so far.

The one he found was Blue Water, Black Leather, Premium and Sport Packages, Steptronic and I believe IPod. So, somone needs to own up to it. The dealer wanted to know if I wanted to have them try and devert it to them so they cold sell it to me. The equipment was close but not exactly what I wanted. The dealer also indicated the chances of them making a deal to divert the car were very low.

It's possible that the buyer backed out of the deal after the car was built, which means it might have been possible to trade. Although probably pretty unlikely.
Blue Water with black leather would look a little weird. I think Blue Water looks best with light colored interiors. Dan |

Interesting how tastes differ. I think just the opposite. I like the contrast between in the interior color and the exterior. So, I would prefer the black interior especially on a coupe with the blue water exterior.
