went shopping today - advice on lease deal
Hey guys... sorry if this has been posted before. Went to the dealer (BMW NYC) and got hard numbers if i order a car. It appears that the money rate on the 335i is way better than the 135i, but that's to be expected.
Anyway, I was quoted the following: MSRP of $40,175 he offered a $1k discount 3 years 10k miles $4400 down (includes taxes up front, first pmt, security deposit) $610 a mo. i'd like to put a bit less down, and have the payment be under $600 ideally. not sure how much wiggle room i have. Conversely same terms on a 335i with an MSRP of $45,220 with a $2k discount runs $579 a mo. but thats not the car i want. advice? i want to order but want to feel like i am making a smart choice. |

You should be able to get at least 2k off it you shop it around. You shouldnt put anything down on a lease $0, zilch. Put the money in a separate savings account and use it to make the difference in the payments every month.
Also, make damn sure that 10k miles is enough. You will get raped when you turn it back in over 30k miles.

Welcome Eric - I don't like the numbers in that deal - something doesn't look quite right on first glance. We should have some leasing experts looking at this shortly though and hopefully they can give you some good advice.
