How long is the current wait?

Sorry for the redundant thread, but I don't frequent the board too often, and I don't know what the current situation is with 1 series production. About how long is the current wait if I were to order today. Salesman told me 6-8 weeks, his manager told me 8-12 weeks, then he said he can't order one because he has no allocation. I'm a little confused. I'm in NJ if it matters.

It'll most likely take 8-12 because they don't have the allocation. I live in Florida and the delivery will be about 8-9 weeks. By the way, they didn't have the allocation. Normally, it takes 6-8.

I'm afraid it's too late to order an 08 now. You'll either have to prowl the NJ dealers and see what they still have coming in, or plan on an 09. The last 08s will be assembled in July and every one of them is spoken for - but some may be for dealers so you still may have a chance if you're not particluar. 09 production will start in September so you might get one by Holloween - which is about when I expect to get my 08 after a September ED.

I put an a deposit down last Saturday and order was placed Mon. My dealership replaced a "stock" order with my "sold" order. BMW site shows the order to be in and I have a production number. Expecting 8-10 weeks. I think it all depends on the dealership and their allocations...

I heard that the cut off date for the 08's was 06.20.08.

Keep in mind, this was from the general sales manager trying to close the deal on the spot.
He went on to say his dealership only had one allocation left for the ONE. This was around June 16th.

Try calling around the local dealers from the bmw website listing site.
Park Ave quoted a fantastic deal over the phone, but was not in my area (way too far). His name is Jon (CA).

good luck to you.
