When do 2009 orders start?(Not allotment reservations)
Did a search and couldn't find and answer;
I know a dealer will take a deposit to get on their order list for a 135. When does BMW actually start accepting orders for the 09's? Dealer said that the 09 specs wouldn't be released until late july. So when can I actually go to the dealer and place an order for a car and not a spot on a list? Thanks |

2009 models won't be in producion until mid Sept. The factories in Germany shut down during August for the European holiday season.
That being said, who knows when the US models will be produced? So it could be some time after that. Actual order dates? Probably no one knows exactly at this point, except a few people high up in BMW. BMW USA will also have to work out what they prefer in standard/available options, etc. Who knows, maybe they will offer the US market options like sunroof delete and anthracite headliner for 2009? |

To answer your ?, probably July, like your dealer said. A spot on a list is a reservation.
08' 1-Series orders were officially accepted toward the end of December 07'. Would that timing be a gauge? Who knows? There is always your dealer/salesman.:iono:

You can still order an 08' if your dealer can get you an allocation. As for 09's, they are begining to assign allocations, yes you can reserve a spot, but depending on your dealer that can be a sticky proposition because you might get "bumped" without you or your ca knowing, especially if your CA leaves.

Do you think they will make any minor changes for 09?
(body style should remain the same for about 6 years - thats kind of a given w/ bmw)

Probably new colors for exterior and interior. Plus I want to be able to order a couple of high performance parts before I pick up the bimmer. They be ready to be installed the minute I drive it in my garage. I do my own installation unless Dan at United BMW give me a break on installation :iono:
