Anyone on Emden which left Bremerhaven port last week?
My car was completed on June 11th and it shipped at the end of June I believe. Anyone else on the Emden?

Yep. Our 135 was also completed on the 11th and is sitting next to yours on the Emden.
We're in western NY state so it seemed odd to be on a ship that doesn't unload at the port of NY/NJ but rather at Charleston, Jacksonville, and Baltimore. Our dealer says not to worry and that the car will be trucked up here once it's off the boat. |

The schedule for the Emden, according to what's posted on the K Line web site is as follows:
Bremerhaven- Arrive: June 22 / Depart: June 23 (actual) Southampton - Arrive and Depart: June 25 (actual) Charleston - Arrive and Depart: July 5 (estimated) Jacksonville - Arrive and Depart: July 6 (estimated) Baltimore - Arrive and Depart: July 9 (estimated) Bremerhaven - Arrive: July 24 (estimated) So far I've been unable to get a position on the ship as it advances towards the US. |

Thank you!
Thanks for the updates on the Emden! I pick up my car from the performance center in July 21st, and I can't wait!
Anyone else doing PCD around that time? |

PC delivery seems to be able to accommodate things. When we ordered the car we specified PC delivery on Aug.11 so we could depart for a trip directly from SC. Within a couple of weeks we received confirmation of that date as well as all necessary details. That meant the car was going to be arriving in the US about a month prior to our taking delivery, but there was no indications of any problems with holding the car until we arrived.
Unfortunately, plans had to be changed and we had to cancel PC delivery. That change went through with no problem. |

Can anyone tell me what is the deal with performance center? To my understanding it is the place where our cars are cleaned off wax and are checked for defaults. If they find any defaults they will correct them.
is that it...? kart |

You're confusing the Performance Center with with the Preparation Center.
The prep center does what you describe (receive the cars off the boat and prep for delivery) while the Performance center is a site where you take delivery but also are allowed to drive a vehicle similar to yours on several different courses to learn how the car handles under various circumstances. More info on PC delivery here. The Performance Center is more than a fancy delivery location - see this site for more details. |
