anyone here not order their 135i and just found one on the lot?

i found my fully optioned 135i 6 speed on the lot at Towson BMW... didn't have to order it.

it had 68 miles from a # of test drives i'm sure, but i don't really mind... the car has 28xx miles now

Congrats on the purchase...I hope you got a great deal since the car had 69 hard driven miles on it...thats too many miles for me.

Wow.. Congrats. I have looked in my area, but no one has a 135i that has the options or colors I want. Still waiting, might order for ED later this year though.

If you are not too picky about color and options, you might be able to find one on the lot. I just took a lunch time stroll through the Stevens Creek BMW in Bay Area and saw 10+ 128i/135i verts in the usual white/black/gray colorway. There were also three 128i coupes but ZERO 135i coupes. I think manual 135i Coupe would be even harder to come by. So, congrats on the OP's find of a demo with 6-speed.

Public forum? Not really. It's the owner's forum and y'all are invited to play as long as they want you to (and as long as you play nicely). And when they've decided that they don't want you to . . . ; -)

Don't know why that news should leave a sour taste in your mouth. Just a friendly reminder that you are here at the sufferance of others and that your actions/words are what matters for the invite to remain open.

BSM + Red Interior + 6 speed (seemed to be the only manual transmission 135i in the region...)

Premium Package, Sports Package, Cold Weather Package, Active Steering, Comfort Access, iPod + USB, Nav, HD Radio, Sirius, BMW Assist.

I think every option pretty much

maybe I was a little too sarcastic but this is a public forum and the OP came in here and posted his situation.

If you're too sensitive about cynical or constructive opinions maybe you shouldn't be posting on message boards.

My opinion and this is only my opinion - anyone that buys a brand new car with more than 12mi on the odometer should consider that the car has been driven more than it should've been as from construction to getting to the dealer's lot and getting PDI's should take no more than 9-12mi. Anything more and its been joyridden. With a car as powerful as a 135i, you can bet that someone had some fun with it and thus the car should be discounted.

Short trips and rapid acceleration in that 56mi difference is almost very likely that the car was wound out and driven pretty aggressively by test drivers, sales people and service.

I'm 100% sure it was driven aggressively by test drivers, sales people, and myself included, but I am also 100% sure the engine will last longer than the rest of the car will.

My first car was a used E36 328i that I got with 47k on the clock... I sold it with 205xxx miles, after flogging the absolute hell out of it for the last 150k miles of its life. BMW engines =

I really don't think your can do much damage in 68 miles. Unless it was redline the whole time or something like that. You guys probably drive your own harder then any test drive that I have seen or the one I took in a 135i.

Don't worry about the miles. I got mine with 54 miles on it. Leasing it for three years. I'm a believer in not babying them during break in, but don't kill it too. I have 4500 miles since 11 May.

congrats

and a side note on buying cars with miles on it. i see nothing wrong buying a car off a lot with miles on it. Cars, of course, are test driven. Now if we are talking porches, lambos, etc, then thats another story. i cant stand when people get anal about buying a car with miles on it, espcially only 68. And no offence to the post about "hope you paid well under invoice", but thats alittle extreme. If the car had 100+ miles on it then thats another story.

HEY ALPHNWHITE96, I test drove that car! lol. You said it had the red interior right? If so nice choice! It was a little too optioned out for me but more power to you. Enjoying it? Maybe we'll bump in to each other at a meet.
