I'd change your order to Sport pack. Can't be that much extra per month and well worth it

Agreed. I fell in love with the seats, wheel, and shift knob and I couldn't live without them.

Change the order asap. My salesman said he cringes everytime an order goes through without the sport package. The seats alone are worth the extra grand, the steering wheel is way cool, and having an M shifter isn't too shabby either. Do it quick, and don't even bother looking back.........

Go get it, to put it in numbers and on an easier perspective its going to be $17 to $21 extra per month.

It is to late, the car should arrive at the preparation center on 29 of this month. But i think you guys might be wrong on this one, because when i went to the BMW website and built my own 1, under the sport package the m steering wheel is already checked even if the sport package isn't checked. But i guess i will find out for sure in a couple of weeks. I kind of want the performance steering anyway but its crazy expensive.

Nope, thats wrong. The configurator is just glitched. It shows that by default you get the M-steering wheel even on the 128i without the sport package.

Here's the fine print on the BMWUSA.com website for the 135i Coupe:
Quote:
Sport Package$1,100
Shadowline trim
M steering wheel
M Sports leather steering wheel with paddle shifters$100
Sport seats

Maybe they had made a change in the options/packages last minute for the 08's? That could be a possibility, but I doubt it. I guess we'll find out for sure when you get your car.

You dont get the wheel, I dont have the sport package, and I dont think it is a necessary option at all. Ive had the car for 400 varied miles and I have no regrets, except the shift knob, but that is easily replaceable and I didnt need to pay $1200 for a shift knob.

I did not get the sport package. I like the seats plenty of support. The steering wheel is nice. I'm happy with my decision. Improbably the only one that has ordered the 17" all season tires as well. They grip and I can rotate them

I dont like the M steering wheel, the M shifter, the black trim, or the sport seats. I personally feel like the sport package is a waste of money. I am very happy with mine the way it is.

What I can't figure out is why so many people here forego the premium package - thats where all the cool stuff is. Bluetooth, BMW assist, Homelink, puddle lights, REAL adjustable seats.

My 2c,

J

Definitely switch the order. I just took delivery of my 135 and didn't order the sport package. I think I'm going to regret it for awhile.

Oh and the M steering wheel thing checked w/o an automatic is a glitch in the system. I've called BMW NA about it before and talked it over with my dealer because I really wanted the M steering wheel without the sports package but it didn't happen. BMW NA confirmed that it is a glitch. I'm surprised they haven't done anything about it.

Sports package is std here. Doesn't SP also include lowered suspension? Because that's will be the biggest bummer if you miss out on that!!

I believe in the US, the sport package does not do anything for the suspension/ride height for the 135i. The M-Suspension is standard. On the 128i, however, you need sport for the M-suspension. He will only be missing out on the wheel, shifter, seats and shadowline trim.

I LOVE THE ALL BLACK THICK STEERING WHEEL AND SHIFTER.

THE SPORT SEATS ARE JUST AWESOME.

THE SHADOWLINE TRIM SCREAMS SPORT.

I GUESS I AM REALLY GLAD THEY OFFER IT FOR ONLY $1,100.00

I WOULD PAY MUCH MORE IF IT WAS.

CAN I GET 3 TACO'S WITHOUT CHEESE.
