09 production numbers not tracking yet?

I was given my pro# on Wednesday but the bmw website says it may not be in their system yet. Are the 09s not tracking yet?

So you have a production number but were you given a production date?

My car was a week 30 build and confirmed built this week. And IF there are any week 31 builds (still MY '08), don't see how you'd be able to track the '09s until 08 orders are filled.

Don't claim to be an BMW process expert (first time buyer), but from personal experience and what I'm told, the factory shuts down for most if not all of Aug. and begins building '09s in Sept. If true, don't think you'll be able to start tracking your '09 until sometime thereafter...unless anyone here can confirm otherwise.

To avoid any confusion or frustration, I'd simply contact your CA for a production date if you don't have one already and stay on them until you are satisfied that your car is in production.
