How Tough is the Suspension?
I'm a masochist, owning this symbol of automotive perfection in Naples, Italy. What can I say, I had to have it. Well, owning this car here means arduous road conditions at times for my baby. Yesterday, I hit a piece of road at about 70 MPH that was seriously uneven with the off-ramp pavement. It was like hitting a 4" curb -- at 70+ MPH!!! I haven't noticed anything wrong with the feel of the wheel or car, and the rims and tires seem fine. Really shook me up, though, as it tossed the car a little sideways too. Anybody know just how tough these suspensions are and how much abuse the car should be able to endure? Looking for peace of mind, obviously, but from this addict I would tell you so far I am very impressed.

Can't tell you how tough the suspension might be though a slower speed encounter with a drop-off of equal proportions prompted a similar response, thus far, no problems.:iono:Shook me up as well.

Hey...another Italian 135!! I'm in Aviano and while our roads tend to be better than yours, I've hit some good pot holes and have had no ill effects but I do work to avoid tham as much as possible. Welcome to the 1Addicts!!

phew -- thanks, guys! what a machine this is. took it for a great drive in the hills near capua yesterday. the one good thing about driving in naples is that there are few areas where any rules are enforced, and this car and owner love that!!

I've hit a good bump that sent me airborne and slightly sideways. A hard landing but it didn't bottom out and still drives perfectly. I didn't see anything cracked or bent when I last had the wheels off. I do some very rough back dirt roads often too and so far I haven't had anything fall off or break.
