Well it has been a long and hard road. I know a lot of you guys despise the young guy with a BMW. I think I will justify my 135i as “earned.” I have been saving up for the past year, and thanks to my great salesman Mike Wendroff at Morristown BMW, it has finally happened. I was an E90Post guy waiting for 08 to finally have enough money to get a three year lease on a 328i coupe. Then I got a part-time job working for a BMW dealership, so all of a sudden I could afford a 335i. I saw this 1addicts site form, but I trashed the 1er (mostly because I am 6’5” and never thought I would fit in it). Then one came to our dealership in March, and I thought I would test it out (s**ts and giggles). Just taking it around the block I was in awe. I researched for a while, coming to realize it would cost me the same as the 3, so I was sold. Mike somehow got me an allocation on a car, even though our dealership could have sold it to a “gotta-have-it” customer for much more. I built it to my spec, used these boards as support for the 12 week wait. Now I figured I would share my story with you. This is a picture story of our trip.

Mike set me up a Performance Center Delivery, so that I could have a really special experience of my first BMW. So I decided to make a vacation of it. We took delivery in South Carolina. Then we drove to Savannah Georgia for a night. Then we went down to Orlando for Universal Studios. This is a pictorial of my vacation. Hope you enjoy.

Agata (My Girlfriend) 20

We arrive at the Marriott at Midnight on July 30. The Hotel was nice enough to leave us a good spread of food to welcome us to our room. My girl does not eat meat, so the hotel made sure that she had a seafood plate with fresh fruit ( I did plan that in advance:w00t

. This made her happy.

They even left us some pretty kick ass cheesecake... for when you arrive at midnight and nothing else can make you happy but dessert and a nice bed.

Then we got up and had a complimentary full breakfast. The hotel just had a multi-million dollar renovation. It was really gorgeous. On par with any premium hotel I had stayed in before.

Then a shuttle picked us up, and dropped us off at the playground. There was a nice Alpina B7 out front.

Then we went in and met Donnie, our instructor. Super nice guy. He gave us a tutorial of the capabilities of our cars as well as the opportunity to sign our life away in the form of a waiver

Then we got to go out on the track. Unfortunately, there was three 135i deliveries that day, so somebody had to drive a 335i. I could not care less, so I drew the short straw for the 3 with no problems. I just took into account that my brakes would be better, I would be a little faster (a lot faster after I brought it home) and I would have less wheel spin in my car.

We did a couple laps around a coned off track. Then we did the whole spin out thing everybody has already seen. Off to delivery! I took my delivery in the main vestibule everybody entered. I loved that my baby was the center of attention. Steven, my Delivery Specialist, was awesome. He taught me a couple things I didn't know (and I work for BMW). I even let m girlfriend touch the car for the first and last time.

Then i used my chicken scratch handwriting to try to rep my SN on 1addicts and E90

We took a pictures with Steven and then set off to the Zentrum

Agy is a big believer in Hydrogen

... and then we went back to the PCD for lunch... To be continued!

Scotty, this was one of the best photo stories for delivery I've read on here. I think you may have a future in journalism. BTW, is your girlfriend Polish or possibly Cech? She has that european look. Have fun with your new girlfriend ;o)
