No orders in December or January!?!?!
Hey all!
Been a member for only a few days. Recently signed for a 135i Aw with Coral in october and just before i signed, they told me there were not able to get the car by early february due to unsold 2008s and BMW Canada's decision not to allow dealers to order 2009s in December or January. I've been shopping for months and calculated everything to get the car in time before my lease ends...i now have to extend the lease of my stupid TSX lol and i'm effing angry. Anyone heard about it? |

I know they really want to get rid of those 08's... A salesman practically got on his knees and begged me to buy one last week haha. He dropped over $5,000 in 10 minutes! Why not find a local '08? Better financing and way cheaper - you just may have to settle with something in a different color or different options.

I did try to make some compromises...but here's the most frustrating part...they basically just have 3 series sedan and X5 left...but still won't order 2009s. It's just totally unacceptable coming from a premium brand such as BMW, especially when none other car maker takes this position. Moreover, i'm paying my car cash...First time i had to fight to give 60k cash!

They don't seem to have 08s left...even though i did some compromises...I even tried to look for 335s coupe and even then he couldn't find anything suitable. Their major stock is 3 sedans and X5s but still won't open December or January for 1 orders...after loosing my time and my money that day, he only informed me of that a minute before signature. Could it have been more insulting? I swear i was this close to walk out and buy a G37S...even though i don't really like it, I felt BMW did not deserve my money, not after treating me like this.

They don't seem to have 08 135i with the level of equipement i want...either no option or just M sport pack. And that's the thing, they don't seem to have that many 135s left, so my dealer says. Fail to see why he would lie since they all want to seel their 08s. He just did not have a car for me!

I'd check with the dealers in Toronto, like Parkview, which now owns the main store on Eastern and others, as I understand it.
The drive from Montreal to Toronto is a joy. I did it two weekends ago, so it might be worthwhile if you can get a deal and they have 135's in stock. |

Michael Molnar at Parkview is my guy. Very good. LMK if you want his email. I found that Parkview was MUCH easier to deal with than the flagship store on Eastern, which is big and corporate in a way I didn't much like. Parkview made a deal with me in minutes with no bullshit. I also paid cash.

Sorry to hear that, my BMW dealer pretty much only keeps stock of each model in the BMW inventory to sort of show what BMW has to offer. But a majority of what's in the showroom is not for sale, more for seeing how it looks, feels, and drives. After that if you like a certain model the dealership places an order and you get your car brand new whenever it is made, shipped, and inspected. Makes sense to me because they don't need a lot of real estate to store these cars while they await to be sold, smart thinking in my opinion even if the customer has to wait a bit for his dream car, lol. I have waited 4 months for mine, but it has finally arrived in the port in Honolulu. Too bad I won't be there to meet it :'(

I know I got the last 135i at BMW Laval. There were a few in Canada that the dealer was willing to bring in, though. Who'd you speak to at either?
My dad's dealer, Ivan (at Canbec) was a complete douchebag. Didn't really care to help a young guy buying a car. Michel Salomon at Laval was great! Didn't look down at me because of my age, did wonders on the price after showing me my many options. |

Hey aintgivingnoname,
I know that as of last week Town and Country BMW in Toronto had a 2008 silver 135 coupe with Premium pkg/Premium snd/6spd manual. You can get a pretty good deal on 08's now because on top of usual deals there's a factory to dealer incentive of $2500 cash. PM and I'll email you my SA contact info. |
