How long after ordering is the wait?

Hi guys, I'm new to the site but been monitoring it ever since I found out the 128i existed about 2 months ago. Did a test drive 2 weeks ago

Never thought BMW's would get in my price range

Now I'm all smiles.

On average, how long did you guys wait for your 128i or 135i?

I would like to have it by mid-August, but have heard horror stories of waiting 4-5 months!

I have also heard 4-6 weeks

Here's the car I'm paying cash for in the near future:
128i Coupe
Manual Transmission
Metallic Space Grey

Thats it - no fancy options/packages. Want them, but don't NEED them. (of course I don't NEED a BMW, but you have to draw the line somewhere!) lol

I ordered mine and put the deposit down on March 7th. The car should be at the dealer, according to my CA, next Wednesday 4/29. He said when I ordered it that it takes about 6-8 weeks. So next week would be about 7 weeks, so he was right on. But my car also sat at the port after production waiting for a ship for two weeks

which was painful haha

ordered on Dec, 17 2008 got my car on Feb, 28 2009.

Ordered mine Feb. 24 and it was at my dealer on April 9.

Mine took around 50 days to arrive at the dealership after ordering. I ordered 50 days ago...

It took roughly two months for my car to get here.

I ordered mine on May 26th 2008 and picked it up on July 23rd 2008.

I didn't think I was going make it with out going insane.

Ordered 12/10/08; took delivery 2/28/09.

Mine also has FEW options- AW 128i 6MT, only Sport package and xenons

Ordered mine on March 14 and I'm picking it up at the PC on May 20 (although it was ready as early as the 11th).

Took me two and half months, but I'm on the west coast so it takes a couple of extra weeks. Good thing we had the support groups on 1Addicts last year. Hope everyone from week 14 support group is still enjoying their 1ers!

I ordered my 128i conv. on 4/10 now as of 5/5 it's at production code 152. I can hardly stand the wait! I'm guessing a mid June delivery date.
