Transmission Noise

Hi,

Ever since I bought the car I notice an alarming noise that dealer can't do anything about. When I drop the car in 1st gear, add gas and let off the clutch, it makes fluttering noise from the rear axle. Then, when it's rolling and I press clutch in but go kinda late off gas, there will be loud thump from the rear axle.

The fluttering sound is most prominent when I'm reversing or when I turn off the car without holding clutch in.

Is that a normal operation? Something like that didn't exist on my E39 M5.

Dealer replaced clutch and drive plate once. It didn't help...

It's clutch chatter and, I believe, comes from the fact that we have a dual mass fly wheel. It's completely normal.

I've seen replacement clutches which are supposed to have less chatter

Well I can live with the chatter but what about that thump noise?? Is that also caused by dual mass? I'm willing to install single mass flywheel to get rid of it. It'd be a nice performance upgrade as well.
