JB+ + DCI Dyno.
Here are my dynos. Please be aware that this was done on a dyno dynamics dyno that reads lower than most dynos or so I was told. Numbers still seem low to me but I dunno....
Stock + DCI ------------ 276.6whp 305.4wtq JB+ 75% + DCI -------------- 307.3whp 369.59wtq |

Thats at the crank, not at the wheels.
I think the dyno looks good for just a JB+ and DCI.

Part of the reason of why my whp is low is probably due to heatsoak. I did a total of about 10 runs so that's probably why. I am in desperate need of an intercooler group buy!

BTW I have read online that Dyno Dynamics is one of the most consistent dynos out there and does typically read lower than even the Mustang dyno does. It is known in the industry as the "heartbreaker dyno" for that very reason. As a ROUGH estimate it typically reads about 18% lower than a Dynojet which seems to be the most common dyno used on these forums so if you wanted to ROUGHLY compare apples to apples, my 307whp is actually closer to 362whp . Now that's more like it!
I also read that Dyno Dynamics yields the most accurate torque because no conversion is happening and it is actually measuring real torque at the wheels...not sure if this is true or not. Maybe someone can enlighten all of us? |

Here is a nice comparison between Dynojet and Dyno Dynamics.
http://www.raceprecision.com/forums/....php?f=3&p=285 The problem seems to be Dynojet is inflating numbers unnecessarily. Unfortunately for us it seems to be more of a standard for tuners since it reads higher numbers and higher numbers mean more tunes sold, but because of their proprietary and inflated correction factors it is not possible to compare one dyno to the next. I don't expect posting this will change the industry one bit, but at least it explains my low numbers. I guess I will try a Dynojet next so I can compare my inflated numbers to everyone else's . |
