Tools and advice for JB+ install
A friend of mine ordered a JB+ for his 135, he and I are going to tackle the install this weekend. Does the removal of the airbox and install of the JB+ require any tools other than a USB cable to push out the TMAP sensor connector? Neither of us know our way around the N54 particularly well, and I didn't see anything really on point using search. Just want to make sure that either he or I have what we need when we get down to business.
The directions are pretty basic, and the ones I looked at were for a 335 and didn't give any specific guidance on getting the airbox off. The install doesn't look difficult, but I have a personal black cloud that follows me to make certain that seemingly simple projects end up being complicated . Any tips to make things easier are welcome. Thanks! |

It might help to read over the directions for the install of the BMS intakes (single and DCI) because those involve the removal of the factory airbox as well.

Thanks fellas, I did find a nice writeup on the airbox removal in the DIY section. It looks like that's the most complex part of the install.
Any steps that are especially tedious or where there are risks of breaking parts or mistakes? |

Just be careful when you use the USB cable to unclip the TMAP, be gentle when you push up and trust the clip will eventually snag and grab onto the usb . . . . with patience.
