Tuesday was a sad dayfor my 1 : (
A friend and I made plans to go to the beach. So, I get to his house and he's still getting ready, I tell him that I'd like to put my car in his garage because its really hot. He pulls out his car and I drive up and notice that hes fucking with the garage door. I wait til the door is all the way up and pull up into the garage, suddenly I hear the door landing on my car and IM PISSED!!!!!!!!. This kid put scratches on my roof, shark fin got scrapped up, and the moon roof has to be replaced because he scrapped that up too.I CA N NEVER FUCKING WIN!!! This kid is too fucking immature and jelousy plays a big role..... Unfortunately, I had to go to his mother because he never called with a resolution nor does he give two shits!! I'm just sooo outragged right now because I take good care of this car and this shit for brains comes and fucks it up. Even better, my 1 is leased and have nothing to look forward to but the look of mis-matched paint the car will have versus the rest : (.. I'm currently neutral with this kid and dealing with his mother because she's gonna pay for it and somehow thinks that her auto or home insurance will cover this.
PS. I live in South florida (boca) and I've had some work done to my previous car in the past by fantastic finishes and have loved their work. Can someone possibly refer me to a shop that they know that can do this job better? |

Why dont you take it to BMW? it will be really expensive but the kid's mother is paying for it so screw it. |

Sorry to hear about that but as soon as you said "he was playing with the garage door" I would have gotten a new friend. Whatever, his mommy will call her insurance and get it taken care of. I'd expect WAY more than a simple "I'm sorry" for this one though, talk about a headache... sorry to hear about your 1, hopefully it gets fixed up and looks good as new! |

Yes, exactly. Some people are just not worth the time.
The Braman BMW Body Shop, go to it. I have met the manager of the shop, and I know of a couple people who got their scratches/dents fixed there. They are great. Expensive, yes, but they did it, make them pay, and since your car is new, you deserve to have it returned to "New" condition. Don't settle, and don't let their insurance company send you to their shops. You have a new car, it HAS (legally HAS) to be returned to new condition. Also, don't forget that since it is leased, if you get charged for damage upon turning it in, the insurance company has to pay for that as well.

I am SO confused. Parking in someone else's garage because it was hot? He was Fing with garage door? This "kid" doesn't sound like a "friend" at all. Dealing with Mom? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?!?!

How long does it take your friend to get ready for the beach?
...so long that you have to garage your car because it's hot??? I cant imangine going to my friends house, then asking him to move his car out of the garage, so I can put my car in his garage??!! Dont think we are getting the whole "story" here. very strange |

Strangest part of the story is that your friend moved HIS car out of HIS garage so YOU could park in it... Sounds like a good friend (besides the garage door closing on you part).

Sorry I was a little tipsy and left that info out, we were taking his (camry) to the beach because we agreed he was driving. Yes, its very sad that I have to deal with his mother but thats just the way it has to be. He's a very immature person and hasn't proven anything to me, other than the fact that hes very selfish and jelous.. Like I said earlier, Im remaining neutral with this kid.

Remaining neutral? After his mommy pays for a flawless repair job, I would do an adjustment on him, as in giving him a new "grill". And I ain't talking grill on the front of the car...I'd totally go Tony Soprano on him with no witnesses. I'm normally not violent, but a bimmer is a bimmer and MY BIMMER is MY BIMMER.......

You'd seriously deliver physical damage to your friend for damaging your car? Yeah, it's a BMW and it is JUST a car. Wow. There are a lot of young and green brains on this forum. |
