I think taking off 5-6 parts (shroud, clips, sensors, ecu box, bolts etc) + working with the damn slider in the ECU box is 10x more of a pain than instead just switching to DCI intake, takes 1 min the remove, then JB+ install takes 5 minutes.

Once you have done the JB+ the first time, I have to say it's a piece of cake. I used some lubricating spray on the air box rubber mounts so it pulls up easier and a USB plug to lift the lug where the JB+ plugs in. Too easy...

I'm running JB+ at %100 and it pulls like a beast. I can't imagine wanting any more power, at least not without modifying other parts. And it's easy to take out. 20min max. It's a safe bet all around.

Now I'm hearing the JB3 at medium boost might be safer than the JB+ b/c it handles more parameters (timing also maybe)? I'm thinking the JB3 might be better for the engine but harder on the turbos since there is a jump from 12.75psi (JB+) to 14psi (JB3). Anyone more educated than me want to chime in on this??

Your airbox could make money on the street if its doing stuff like that...

Actually, after to talking extensively with various conservative tuners, the general feeling is that turbo life or turbo bearings will stress a little after 12psi and i would imagine turbo life would be reduced, probably not until down the road a bit though. I honestly believe that running a JB3 at low boost 11-13psi is prob the best way to go, maybe slightly better than JB+ since it controls timing/ throttle response IMHO.
