continued dilema of getting a 135
So I was debating on getting rid of my 06 325 for either a 128 or 135. I"ve decided on a 135 but my options seem to be limited. I really wanted a simple 135 with msport and nothing else, but my salesman showed me their program and there isn't a single new one for sale in canada like that. At my dealership they have a base 135, white, but has coral red leather (my favourite combo). I've driven it and it's still amazing. Huge draw back is no sport seats. Will I kick myself in the ass down the road for not getting msport? Keep in mind I'm getting a really good deal on the one in stock.

If you can wait 8 weeks then order the car exactly the way you want it. Sport seats are a must on the 1 series IMO.

My SA said it would be minimum 3 months, most likely more since they're slowing down production time in europe since it's vacation season! I just don't want to get my car then 2 months later have it be winter already!

The sports seats are sooooo nice but if you can live without them with no regrets FOR-EV-ER then get the stock one
Waiting 3 months isnt all too bad you might get lucky and they will have fixed the HFP issue by then...also there might be more options that come standard (although the price may increase) |

Sport seat is a must on any BMW. It is a big difference - I am not sure what the dealer's thinking having a 135i without sports seats. Order one now, and I am sure they can lock in the price.

Get one with more options incl m-sport or just sport at a different dealer. The deal might work out about the same with a better price and trade-in on an in stock vehicle rather than a ordered vehicle with just m-sport.

I got a dumb question...who orders these cars? Do they have some guy that works at the dealerships pulling options and color combos out of a hat?
Cause I have seen some cars with outrages options |

I don't have the sport seats in mine and I find the regular seats to be very comfortable. I got a smokin' good deal on my 2008 135i convertible without the sport package (but with premium and cold weather packages, iPod, and premium sound) and I am as happy as a clam. I could have had one with the sport package and those extra-nice seats, but I live in an area where we get snow and I didn't want the summer performance tires.

if you have to wait 3months if you order to your spec., you might as well wait a little extra for the redesigned model to come out. I think by summer 2010 you would be able to order it.

I ended up getting a white 135 with M Sport only, as that was the only option I wanted. The sport package is well worth the low price, and, like you, I live in Canada, so I'm stuck forking out for snow tires come winter.
That said, I went with white really because I had no other choice (no offense to red and black owners, just not my taste). What I REALLY wanted was M Sport in LeMans Blue, but good luck finding anything like that up here. Pretty much any 135 in inventory with metallic was so loaded with every option imaginable that the price was in the $55K range. NO thanks... I love my car, but for me, white was the lesser of three evils. I would have waited a few months to the LeMans/M combo, but I had a buyer lined up for my GTI who just wouldn't wait. So, get what you really want and wait it out. |

I agree I really wanted to m sport package, mainly for the seats and steering wheel, but it's not like I don't enjoy the non sport. The non sport in canada still has the sport steering wheel (same as 335), 18 inch wheels, m aero kit compared to hte 128, etc. The upside to this car I'm dealing with is it has the coral red boston leather as apposed the leatherette I'd be getting with m sport since I'd forgo the premium package. And white/ red with tinted windows is a pretty nice combo! My main question was whether I could live with the non-sport seats, like whether they're flat out uncomfortable or not. And I really don't feel at all like waiting to order one, and I think my dealer is giving me a better deal since this one is on their lot.
