SES light.. ugh here we go again???

So over the past month or so I have been getting long cranks... I had my HPFP replaced once already but the first time it died the engine malfunction light came on (the little engine picture) and I went into limp mode and struggled to make it to the dealer...

Today however I had the SES light come on... no limp mode but could this be the fuel pump dying again??... But at least giving me a little warning this time??

God this is unreal!

What mods are you running? Feel free to PM, if you're looking to keep them on the down-low.

Also, you definitely need a Bavarian Tech tool. Make it your next "mod."

You probably had your pump replaced with the same part number pump. There's a 2nd gen. pump. You'll keep on having hpfp problems as long as you have the same pump as replacement.

Yup I did. Warmtoes on the forum here nailed the problem right on its head because he had it as well, so on top of my head that's 3 with the same problem. It's not reassuring that so many parts in a car can go wrong all within 12 months of ownership.

Hopefully they come out with revised versions of these parts so we don't have to worry about it so much, it is a little ridiculous though
