The Horror!!!

I was in San Francisco last week and I came across a nice older model BMW that unfortunately suffered the dangers of living in the Bay Area...

BTW that is not a fresh poop, it actually removed the paint....P.S. I know this is not a 1 series (heck I dont know what it is...330 maybe?) Just wanted all BMW lovers to see..So please Admins dont ban me

BMW has a lot of cars out there with thin paint. The green seems to be the worst color though. It happens in lots of areas.

Guys-

The car in the pic is either a 318 or 325 coupe from the early to mid 90s. I believe that body style began in '92, so this car could conceivably be going on 17 years old. Given that, I would say it looks like it has held up pretty well. The problem with the hood is likely oxidized paint - he probably lives near the ocean -salt air is hell on metal, no matter how good the paint.

That happens to old cars especially paint job in the 80s and early 90s. Something with the type of paint used in that era. If the car isn't garaged most of its life that will happen as the car ages. Just have it repainted if it bothers.

Or you are talking about the small spots?
