0-60 time for Dinan Stage II?

Hiya,

I know that 0-60 times depend on driver skills to a large extent, but can somebody give me some idea of what time a half-decent driver could do in a 6MT car flashed with Dinan Stage II (no other mods) compared to stock? Would it be as much as half a second off the stock time?

It would probably be around 4 seconds with a good driver and good tires. I know someone tested this on here somewhere. The biggest enemy I have is that first gear won't hook up at all on the stock run flats, killing any good times.

So went up against a Mercedes C63 AMG last nite on my way to philly... from a stop i had him going into 3rd(which i shifted too early),about half car length. He was pulling on me in 3rd but i hit the brakes due to a truck in front of me so i don't know what the end result would have been. Anyways moral of the story is per the Benz website the C63 boasts a 451hp 6.3l V8 that goes 0-60 in 4.3...with just the DINAN Stage II I would agree we are looking around 4secs. BAD ASS!

^ Nice. AMGs are Automatics too, so anybody who puts their foot down should be capable of a 4.5.

My first thought when reading this was no fricking way, and that AMG C63 moves like there is no tomorrow. I personally have driven the C63 many times, and have given a Baby Lambo a reality check while on a drive about a week ago... Then about three days ago while driving a completely stock 335i that I had for a week, I had a chance to run a 6.3 AMG Coupe twice, and he got a run like he never expected, and I was amazed how well the A/T 3.0L 335i did up against the 6.3L AMG Beast. The 335i A/T holds Boost very well between shifts, and IF I wasn't myself driving, I would have never believed this in a million years. The N54 w/an A/T is amazing at handing itself even w/such a huge difference in torque and power.

the dealer told me last week that they don't have to send the ECU off anymore it can be done same day in about hour and half...hummm really.....

mine wasn't shipped, altho the DINAN rep had said it depended on what ECU i had... dunno if they changed that across the board tho.

the c63 actually isnt a 6.3 liter

its closer to 6.2

I thought Dinan's tune was a bit less aggressive than the rest? If Dinan's tune allows for low 4 second 0-60 times, then a JB3 should do high 3 seconds? Doesn't the E9x M3 do 0-60 in about 4.5 seconds? And I've read many times that it takes more than just a tune to keep up with them. Someone doesn't have their facts straight.

I dont know 0-60 times but the Dinan tune adds up to 100 BHP and 120 lb/ft of Torque. Its realistic to think that this would shave .5 seconds off of your 0-60 time.

So, you expect 0-60 in like .8 sec as long as you get a good hook up?
I'm kidding just so you know.
He asked if it would take a half second off, and you responded "more like 4".

Killing any good time? Man 0-60 in 4.7 is no longer considered good these days?
I find it to be amazing in a car that costs less than $40k running street tires.

I was going off their website... 6.3/6.2 does it really make a big difference? Also i was purely going off the Benz website on the 4.3 for the C63, which would mean that car is faster than an M3 which then means our 135 with just a DINAN and Run Crap tires would beat an M3, which i believe from other memebers is tough. Don't forget lots of other factors could contribute, such as say my stock 135 was one of those freak engines that is putting out more thatn 300hp stock or the c63 driver sucked. This was purely to gain a little bit of perspective on the 0-60times not a dead set #
