Well the OP of that thread mentioned less then $300.00.. I think its going to be around $250.00 which are around the price of pulleys for many cars.. so judging by the dyno if I read it correctly this would up the whp around 10?

Though what I understand from the pulley upgrade from my previous car it improves responsiveness due to the smaller diameter and lighter weight of them.. but someone chim in who knows more..

Yea, less weight, i'm not so sure about the smaller diameter tho. My only concern is since this item is not easily taken off, at least it wasn't on my old car (wrx). I wonder if the techs at BMW will void stuff cause of it.

nice... I've been waiting for a re-designed crank pulley..

10 HP for a decent price... this may definitely be worth it

hey guys glad your interested. Im the OP on the e90post thread. The price will definately be fair. No bmw mark up. We were gonna do a small under drive but since BMW had soooooo many electronics we didnt wanna risk it, also wanted to make sure we can use the stop belt. Its roughly a 65% reduction of weight. Great quality. It didnt quite make 10whp. it made 9 and 12 ft lbs of torque. i know its just 1hp but im an honest person and i dont wanna give anyone in the n54 family wrong info. If u guys post on the link above i'll answer any questions or concerns that u have.

From the looks of the pics on the e90post thread above the pulley bolts to the crank dampener. I could be wrong since I am only going off what it looks like.

Here is the pic in that post:

No, that is not a dampner, that is a belt. Not saying it is a bad product, I'm just concerned about harmonics shortening the life of the engine.

I know that is the belt and I understand the idea behind your issue with harmonics.

I just looked up the part in ETK and it appears that I am wrong. The OEM piece is dampened.

How long are you planning on keeping your BMW?? I would worry about your HPFP, Turbos, heads on this car alotttttt more than i would the harmonics shortening the life of the engine. Turbos going out on this car especially how much power we're all running through it is a bigger reality than crank pulleys. Besides. Bang for Buck, this is gonna be the 2nd best mod after a tune.

nah...not the second best by a long shot. I could name a few others:

Thicker front sway bar
Non-RFT's
Catless DP's

Just to name a few...still semi-interested in this though.

+1 I'll buy one if they're available in black. Otherwise, no deal.

+1 for a black version. Shiny red stuff attracts extra attention from service technicians.
