Metal Roof w/o Moonroof?

Soon I will be ordering an 010 MY Coupe in AW. I don't want CF or Moonroof and my mind is made up on this if possible! However, I can't find the option for a plain metal roof if one exists! Any information of assistance would be appreciated.

Thanking you in advance,

I remain,

CwC

Exactly, lol.

I don't think BMW thought people would want a plain roof.

If you want an E92, your choices from the factory are CF roof with no moonroof, or steel roof with moonroof. I believe you can get an E90, which only come with steel roofs, without a moonroof.

Anything else will require you to go aftermarket.

Not possible, so paint the CF and kill the resale value

I would've gone for this option as well.

My reasoning is that I'm not interested in CF when it serves as a purely cosmetic feature. Some [many] people love the look, but I'm tired of CF-everything craze.

There is a weight reduction so it is not purely cosmetic. If you don't like the look just put a white wrap on the roof so you don't lose value for resale.

I thought the CF was an actual CF roof? So it's not just cosmetic, but reduces weight..

wrap would me a good idea
that way when its time to sell, you just peel it off and its a brand new roof
it's not cosmetic, it does lower the center of gravity, as per BMW brochure
as far as i know its only the M3 and M6 that have this feature in any brand
can anyone verify this?

Well, CF is not as durable as a painted metal roof. I like the clean look of my sedan with no sunroof. Too bad the coupe doesn't have this option.

No weight savings over an aluminum roof (without moonroof).

Another option would be to go with Jerez Black or Jet Black, since those colors contrast the least with the CF weave.

I believe the lighter roof lowers the center of gravity which provides for enhanced handling. But I guess all of this wouldn't matter unless you track your car.
