Change cabin filter in E92

Hello everyone.

This video shows how to change the microfilter (cabin) filter in the E90.

The E92 has 2 of those covers. I wonder which is the diference in the filter on the E92/93. Does it have 2 filters?

Amazed at how much leaf got sucked into there. To get to the ECU one needs to take out the bottom cover or at least take the screws out and just lift it.

If I remember correctly, under each of the two covers, there are two smaller filters. So a total of four filters.

Ok, so I finally had time to take the covers. Each side has 2 microfilters (for a total of 4). I wonder why so many. They were not as dirty as I though but I guess that I will ask the dealer to change it in my next service (1000 more miles).

The drivers side has a sensor attached to the cover. I wonder what that is for.

The other thing is that the air gets "sucked" way to close from the engine bay, there should be a better way and get cooler air.

That is the hood switch for the OEM alarm.

Even if I don't have alarm? Maybe the pre-installation?

Correct, your car is pre-wired for the OEM alarm. So the switch is already on and wired.
