What does the OEM alarm sound like?

When locking the doors, does it just "beep" like the E46 alarm or does it sound the siren for a half second like the E38 in the James Bond movie Tomorrow Never Dies? I think the later is cooler.

its a high frequency sound abit painful to hear at close distances.
