It's DONE! And the wait begins...

Well, first time poster...and a few hours ago, just ordered a 2011 135i.

This is what I got:
Alpine White
6-Spd manual
LWD1-Coral Red Leather
ZMP-M-Sport Package
ZVP-Value package
302-Anti-theft Alarm
322-Comfort Access Keyless entry
494- Heated Front Seats
688- HK Sound System

MACO was 875.00

MSRP was- $40,500
invoice was- $37,945
settled for- $38,945
so paid only $1,000 over invoice, was looking between $750-1,000. So not bad. I get free mats also, but who doesn't I guess.

Now it's the wait, it's 112 coded, and considered an APRIL build, looking at sometime in May.

HOLLER!

If the MSRP was 37xxx, if you were savy enough, you could have paid 35xxx. Invoice is what you go by when purchasing a car man, not MSRP, NEVER go by MSRP unless you like giving away thousands to line the Stearlerships golden pockets.

Look at the Invoice of the car, then add in options from factory, you get invoice. Add 3% to that price for dealer profit and thats what you should pay, screw the damn MSRP!

But, welcome man, great to see another A.White C.Red buyer.

Good Deal for a 2011... did they told you about the other fees.. Dealer, MACO and Training..

Usually if you negotiate based on Invoice the dealer will try to push these fees..

I got my OTD cost special circumstance, of being US Air Force, but thats not to say any of you couldnt have acquired a likewise deal...

This is the thing, they can push all they want, but you dont have to pay jack... Its the dealers job to train and certify, not my cost. And the same with the other costs, its all dealer bullcrap. Most dealers try to get by with charging the public thier local advertising fees as well, charge to have the car on the lot b4 you even buy it, like your paying the cars rent to be there, dealer prep fees etc etc.... Just most arent smart enough to do research b4 they buy and get goaded into "we have always charged that" Not this guy... tell them to stick it up their arses, and they dont have a legal leg to stand on.

I don't understand your comment? I listed invoice as $37,945

3% above invoice comes to $1138.35

I paid $1,000 over invoice. Which is roughly 2.635%. Don't have the paper work in front of me but MACO was also included in the final price of $38,945

I came in with a much lower price and settled with the numbers above. I walked in with an incorrect invoice, but he was also glad to show me the same numbers he was looking at and we finally agreed.

Also curious, just trying to figure out also how you were able to pay the price of $35k? Was that at the dealer cost or wholesale? Not sure of the proper terms. I see the options..wow, awesome deal you got.

Yes, coral red is an option on the 2011's, I just ordered mine with coral red leather.

People say its a Priority 1 option (?), so its not advertised, you have to ask for it.

For years BMW has supported the United States Military serving in Europe (about 30 years). They do this by giving us an incentive to buy a vehicle over here. We get a special pricing, only for the servicemen ( all Dept. of Defense I.D. holders). Its a dealership just like in the states, Pentagon Auto sales is the one here in Italy. Go in, pick out the car, get a price thats heads and shoulders above anything you could get anywhere. Keeps us buying BMW with brand loyalty when we get back in the states, it also helps that we spread the word to everyone else over seas looking to purchase a vehicle. Would you rather pay 35k for a BMW, or a Ford? When in Europe...

If your getting no more than 3% over total invoice and options, thats great, I didnt do the math on your car+options. After you figure in the cost you want to pay, then figure in tags and title, thats extra off the total cost, it varies state to state as you may know, BUT, make sure you know what it is in your state by calling the DMV... Some shady dealerships charge wayyyy more than it costs. Im just trying to give people pointers on how to get the best deal possible.

If you got a great deal in your efforts, congratulations, may all of the rest get similar results.

I loved my experience with Pentagon. I'm getting a 135i with the options I wanted for $2k less than MSRP without options. Brand new 2011 on special order. The one here in my village was very friendly and helped answer my questions for several MONTHS before I finally went to the showroom. My rep even drove around with me and helped me find the best trade-in value. And he said he will help me take care of all the paperwork involved with trading in my current car and getting everything ready for my new car's arrival.

Yeah, one great thing is the locals get all pissed at our pricing, the manager had to take the prices off of the vehicles because locals would come in and try to buy them. When he tells them the deal, that it is only for US Gov I.D. holders they get irate. One elderly gent said that he had to sell him a car becasue we are in his country, its the law.... lol. But, its set up right through BMW, and no local can purchase a vehicle from them, go down town and the car is 8 grand more... ouch.

I seriously doubt you got 600 over the ED invoice if you're not doing an ED. You may have paid 600 over US invoice, thats good, enjoy the car.

I think he meant he got close to ED MSRP, which is just a bit higher than non-ED invoice.

You got what you consider a good deal through your military discount as you've mentioned several times already.

I concluded the deal on the 27th February (135i Coupe, AW, BCR Leather, Glass Roof, Xenons, Dark Poplar, Cruise) and the waits been killing me !!!

Finally was delivered to the Dealer yesterday and is currently being PDI'd & prepped. Saw it raw (i.e straight of the trailer, not de-waxed etc.) and it looks a real bruiser, Saturday can't come soon enough.
