FS: Authentic Vorsteiner Front Lip (Painted Matte Black)

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Up for sale is an authentic Vorsteiner Front Lip. The lip was carbon fiber, but I painted it matte black due to rock chips. However, the matte on this lip needs to be re-painted (which should not cost more than $75) for a beautiful finish.

Looking for local SoCal buyers

Price: $500 but will sell for $450 so it can be repainted.

Please email me at dyb103@gmail.com

Wow! I've never seen so many rock chips on a front lip or bumper. Do you compete in off-road races? Just kidding. GLWS!

I should have put clear bra on it so it does not cause these chips. The next buyer should definitely do it.

Is it possible to remove the matte black color and expose the carbon fiber again?

Thats why the price is reasonably low so the next person can paint and be happy. If you are local I have plenty of shops that would be willing to do the job.

This the way the lip looked like even with the rock chips. If you come close is the way you see it.

Did a body shop paint that for you or did you do it yourself?

I really hope you did it, because unless you drove behind a cement trunk halfway across the continenet, there is no reason your lip should look like that. I used to work at a body shop and I can tell you that if a body shop painted it, DON'T EVER TAKE YOUR CAR THERE. FWIW, I also painted my VRS CF Lip to white because of a crack in the clear, so I know how it is to have a painted lip.

It happen because of daily driving on the 10 freeway and every so often there is construction so the chips end up happening. Looking for a quick sale.

you drill the bottom of the bumper, so when and if you ever decide to remove the lip. you will not see the drill holes, (unless you are underneath the car).

If your car happens to be white, I have a brand new painted Vorsteiner front lip.
