Sold my 5er and picked up a Mercedes CLS63 AMG
Well, I got the 'new car itch' again and realized that the only way I could get something else was if I sold my 5-series since my wife would kill me if I got rid of the Z4. I just bought a CLS63 AMG and will be selling my 5er very soon.
Anyways, the car is fully loaded with every option including KeylessGo, heated/cooled seats, Designo, Nappa Leather, Parking sensors, etc....It's a color combo you either love or hate. My co-worker thinks the interior is cheesy and flashy, but I like it. Here are some pics from my iphone. My garage looks stacked at the moment, although the 5er will be gone soon. It's a 4-car garage, so too bad my wife's '10 4Runner wouldn't fit in the pic

Congrats, that CLS will be remembered as one of the prettiest sedans of all time. With the 6.3 it's a great power/style combo. Not sure why anybody would find that interior cheesy? It looks ivory in color on my phone, certainly not flashy like red or something. Dark stock wheels and a little tint would be perfect.

I think a c63 would have went down better, but still a gangsta car - just too big for me.

Thanks for the kind words!! I just managed to sell my 525, so the wife is happy that we don't have 4 cars and a bike on hand for the two of us anymore ...LOL
The CLS63 is really amazing. I was initially in love with the exterior and only after i bought it am i finally discovering the interior. The materials used are absolutely amazing....the materials used a really second to none. The performance is jawbreaking. I typically replace cars every couple years, but I'm hoping that this time around might be different since everything i could want is finally in one package. :hyper:

Sweet Car! I'm interested in how the Cooled seats work. Does it just pump refrigerant through pipes in the seat? That would make removing the seats hard. I'd love to retrofit it in my car but might be too much work than what its worth. |

The seats are not directly connected to the AC. It's only a fan, installed inside the seat. The cabin air circulates from the back of the seat through the perforated seating area. On a hot day you have to wait until the ambient temperature is down before you feel a cooling effect from the seats. I was a little disappointed when I first found out what a simple solution it was but it works quite well.
