Gintani HFC seem very low (ground height)

Guys - I recently purchased a used Gintani HFC Xpipe and the HFC section seems very low. My car is not lowered and the primary HFC are the height of a cigarette box (actually sit slightly lower). The rest of the system (xpipe and Borla Rear Muffler Section) look to be normal height. Doesn't this seem odd? I called Gintani and they said before you tighten all bolts, push the cats up starting from the header flange and work your way back. All Gintani owners please chime in....

All aftermarket HFC's hang lower than stock. Haven't you noticed how the stock primaries are flattened from the factory for increased ground clearance?

^^ +1 All HFC hang a bit low, To the Op, did you make sure everything was adjusted right and pushed it all the way. Sometimes during install, not tightening one bolt well enough can change the outcome.

For the record - I dont smoke. I did not push them up during install. I understand they would be lower than the oem pancakes but i'm scraping on speed bumps and I'm on OEM springs! I'm going to loosen everything up and push them up while someone tightens the exhaust.

I don't have HFC but I do know that part of the exhaust can be adjusted.

maybe your shop can help you out on that part. or is your car sitting really low?

Go back to the shop that installed it, it's an easy adjustment to get them a little higher.

Mine hangs lower than stock, but definitely not that low. The only thing hanging lower is the actual HFC which there's nothing you can do about that because it's not flat like OEM.
