Snow chain
Hello:
I'm living in southern California and want to buy snow chain for winter season, any brand and model u could recommand? Also is the chain suppose to install on the front side or rear side? I notice on the front side, the suspension is pretty close to the tire, so I'm not sure.... Please help Thanks a lot |

I might buy snow chains for my X6 but would only use them under extreme conditions (like blizzard). If you're heading to Mammoth or Big bear the roads will be cleared enough for you to get in and out.

Snow chains in Southern Cali? Are you serious? For what? Maybe in northern Canada, but in southern canada you should be good enough on just all seasons or winter tires imo.

Most of the mountain requires snow chain even there is no snow on the street, otherwise they won't let u in, it sounds weird and unreasonable, but that's their rules.....I wish I don't have to put chains on

They're bs'ing you. I've been to mammoth plenty only question I've ever been asked is if it was in 4 wheel drive. My answer "always is", never had to put chains on (but if you go to the mountains it's always good to be prepared, chains or something like them, shovel, blankets, etc). |
