P0106 - Increased emmisions/performance??

Any Idea what can trigger this? Also said something about Manifold absolute pressure (MAP). Shows up as soon as I start it when cold, I cleared it and it was fine for about 7-8 restarts and today it came up again.

Finally someone who can do things themselves, without going to the dealer for all kinds of silly stuff. Will check back and see if it fixed it, sensor do look a bit dirty though.

That's the way to tackle those issues . Where's this sensor, by the way? Did you have to pull it hard? Glad any of those tabs didn't break. Good luck.

It's locate right before the intake plenum on the left side. You unclip the electrical connector, unclip the plastic lock, turn counter clockwise and pull out; Nothing to it really.

Awesome, are you going to clean it or claim a new sensor at the dealer?

Thanks man. Just removed mine out of curiosity (no warnings), and it's almost equally dirty; WTF? It only sees clean air inside, so it doesn't make any sense to be coated with that black crap. I'm stumped. Anyway, cleaned it with brake cleaner and alcohol (without touching it), so hope it stays clean from now on. It must have been dirty since it was put on, no? I'll pull it out in a year and find out.

Hey, did the cleaning take care of your issue? Curious. Take care.
