CF lip rock chips

Hello guys,
Anyone else suffering from all the rock chips on your CF lip? had my Akrym lip for 5k miles and it's suffering big time.

its' in a vulnerable place. i had clear bra installed on my lip prior to install.

It is going to happen, unless you cover the lip with the 3M clear bra.

very good idea to get the clear bra.

front lips are low to the ground so generally are hit
by a lot of stones.

It's not uncommon to get a new front lip every year...

In addition to looking tacky, they probably serve to scoop debris up onto the front fascia that would ordinarily pass below the car.

The head goes up while the rest of the body goes underneath the car.

That's why it's called a splitter.

Or you could try....

backing up a bit when traveling behind vehicles (..I usually maintain at least 2 1/2 to 3 car lengths when at speed)
staying away from big trucks and cars traveling excessively fast
etc.

Rock chips are unavoidable, but you can lessen the effect. Worst case scenario......have it sanded and clear-coated again. I've had many CF parts repaired that way.
