Live it like you love it...
As I sit here at 3am in my mother's hospital room watching over her as she recovers from surgery, I can't help but count my blessings. Life is fleeting my friends. Too often do we lose focus of what truly matters in life. Too often do we fail to realize that life is today, this moment, this instant. We live like we'll never die; and we die like we never lived.
Don't put off for tomorrow what you can do today. Especially if it involves bringing a few rays of sunshine, happiness, or hope into yours or someone else's life. Never pass up an opportunity to be a guiding light. I don't know any of you personally; but I hope to get the opportunity to do so soon. I wish you all the best in all that you set out to do; and I pray you find peace, love, and happiness. What does this have to do with the M3? Absolutely nothing I suppose. Although, before my mother went in to surgery this morning, she said to me behind teary eyes and with a quivering voice, "Once I fully recover, you better take me on a nice, long road trip in that new M3 of yours..." You got it momma. Your wish is my command. Last edited by mr_yogi; 02-16-2011 at 07:00 PM.. |

Post of the year.
Couldn't agree more and a reminder like this puts things into perspective when we seem to lose track. Wish your mom a speedy recovery!

Yogi,
Beautifully put. I wish your mum a speedy recovery and look forward to pictures of her in your M3 :-) I had my MCB in for a blood transfusion (oil change!) yesterday and with the help of your words at the beginning of this post I am now coming to terms with the cost ! It's all worth it in the end :-) All the best Brams |

Good luck, and I hope your mum recovers soon.
I have to say I can't agree more with your comments. Last year my time was nearly up when the business jet I was in got caught by windshear and hit the deck, and this Christmas I caught Swine Flu (very nasty), over 120 people in the UK died from it over Dec and Jan so I count myself lucky. This is the reason I decided to have a little more fun in my life... so I ordered a new M3. I plan to show my wife that she means the world to me and enjoy myself a little bit more with the help of my dream car. I can't wait for the summer!! All the best and once again I hope your mum recovers well.

Thanks for posting, couldn't agree more. Good to see something more meaningful on the forums than people just going back and forth about stupid things. Wishing her a speedy recovery, good luck bro!

First post.
I've been a lurker here for a long time...found the board from the "3 series" thread on Acurazine. Huge fan of BMW's. March 25 of last year my cousin (25) was killed in a Motorcylce crash. We were like brothers. Grew up together. Hung out often. Might as well have been brothers. Within two weeks, my girlfriend broke up with me. Still bitter about that. But you know what, I have a lot to be thankful for. So many times in life we get our priorities mixed up and forget whats important. I've been pissed off about my ex this week and thinking about my cousin as well as its been almost a year, but this post is a good reminder to appreciate the ones you love. Thanks for posting. Good luck to your mom and fam. |
