Caravan interest to June 10th Willow Springs track day?

Hey guys,

So a couple of us local OC guys have been talking through PM to see if maybe anyone who is from the OC area or nearby that is attending the June 10th Willow Springs Track Event is interested in going in a caravan together?

Sounds like it would be a fun little drive with some M3 enthusiast and it will maybe add some comfort in driving up as a group rather than solo.

UPDATE:

Alright guys, a small update...

I spoke to Alex over at ALPINE. He is also down to make a nice little caravan of us rolling together.

We can have the OC crew gather up and then meet the Los Angeles caravan at 5:20 AM off the Santa Monica exit off the 405 freeway. We will then depart at 5:30AM sharp towards the valley, exit off Ventura at 5:45, and then finally depart at 5:55ish with the Valley caravan over onto the Willow Springs Raceway.

Let me know if there are any OC guys that are down to meet up with me on friday around 4:30AM to roll out.

FINAL UPDATE:

Alright guys, FINAL UPDATE on where the OC crew can meet tomorrow before heading out to LA to meet up with Alex and the other guys.

At 4:30AM sharp, we will meet in front of the Wholesome Choice in Irvine off of Culver Drive and the 405 freeway. There is a couple gas stations there as well if you guys need to fuel up and head out.

When do you guys plan to leave? I prefer leaving early to avoid Friday morning traffic jam in LA.

We would have to leave very early anyway. We must be there no later than 7:20 so we can be on time for the drivers meeting at 7:30AM.

Track runs begin at 8AM.

Leaving at 5:30 would be a good idea from the OC area.

I think it's a good idea.. PM Alex@Alpine He's setting up one too.. I would love to come down with you guys but I need to get there a hour before to set everything up.. I'll be driving up by myself

My plan was coming out to test and tune the aero parts on M3. Now the shop told that they can't have the front splitter done. It's a bit waste to bring the M3 at this time.
I may bring my cayman or Gtr instead, but not decide yet. I may have to decide it in the last minute. Anyways, it will be a fun track day! I would like to see how your badass SC M3 perform at Big willow! Haha

Last chance guys for this Friday's huge event. You will only be on the track with a limited amount of people, much open space, and less danger!

West Los Angeles/Valley Caravan

*Please note guys, do not be late, we must leave on time so we can make it to the track on time.
*Please have enough gas to reach the track, for those guys who are pumping 100oct at the track, from our Valley stop you will need about 85 miles of gas to get there. I am suggesting half a tank on 335i/328i and M3s, supercharged guys, I have no clue how much gas you guys need to get to the track.

*No SPEEDING GUYS! That is what the track is for, people have been ticketed on the way to the track, please do not add to the list, it will ruin your day.

*We will be cruising up to the track at speeds of 65MPH-75MPH, just set your cruise control and enjoy the drive.


-5:15AM meet at Chevron on the Northwest Corner of Santa Monica Blvd and Westwood (10867 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90025)
-5:20AM OC Guys will arrive.
-5:30AM Sharp we will leave to our final stop before the track
-5:45AM Meet at the Mobile off the 405 North Exit Ventura Blvd, Mobile Gas Station on the Southeast corner of Sepulveda Blvd (4528 Sepulveda Blvd, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403)
5:55AM Sharp depart to the track (3500 75th street west, Rosamond, CA 93560)

THE TRACK REQUIRES YOU TO WEAR A LONG SLEEVE SHIRT AND JEANS. Bring a extra shirt for when your hanging out with everyone.. I'm doing the same.
