Won't go straight
I have an e92 m3 right hand drive. I just put on new tires and had wheel alignment done. car now pulls to the left when road tilts left, thats normal. But when the road is tilted right, the car still go straight. The alignment guy said it is common and nothing I should worry about. But if I really want it 100% straight, he could change the camber of one side to induce fiction to one side.
Does this make sense? |

My car does the same since I changed the OEM Conti 3 to DWs..pulls right despite balance and allignment..

same with mine... it pulls to the left. went back to alignment shop and said that everything was spot on... i am running V12

Its possible that the steering wasn't centered properly before the alignment was done.
In this case the self centering action of the power steering will try to steer the car. Some systems have a "key" that is fitted to the rack to ensure that it is centered before the front alignment is completed. Find a flat piece of road and the car should track straight when accelerating, cruising and decelerating. |

The tire condition, worn out suspensions, frame damage always make a car pull to one side, despite how straight it shows on the alignment report. If your car tracks perfectly straight but the steering appears slightly off(tilted left for example). you can correct it by giving both tire rods exactly the same number of turns(0.5 turn in my case), so that both front wheels turn towards left without affecting total toe-in. |

Great findings, and you're right on. Quite typically, all things balanced, a pull usually is something more serious. That said, definitely have an experienced shop take a look at your camber and do a full alignment. While the wheels are balanced, there are many other factors to consider as you mentioned. Not every shop is good at getting it right. I've had lots of hit and miss alignment jobs.
If your suspension components are in good condition (and if adjustable, consistently set) and your wheels are balanced, and you do not have frame damage, your car should NOT pull in any direction on a perfectly level surface.
