Rattles in the rear sunshade area - anyone?

hi, i am getting annoying rattles from the area under the rear windshield area. i think it is coming from the rear sunshade mechanism. Does anyone experience similar issues?
Thanks

I don't. But I have only had it for a little over a year now. And it is generally in the up position (I may have put it down a total of three times) so I don't know if that makes a difference.

Its not the Sunshade...it's the car in general. All 3 series have rattles emitting from the rear deck area. I have the same rattle on my e92 328, e90 335, and e92 m3. All of mine produce the exact same rattles from the rear deck when going over bumpy roads.

U think that's annoying , wait till u get the dash rattles. I recently got a buzzing one coming out of the dash... I spent the whole weekend considering to get rid of this car as well because of these rattles so yea, I def am on the same page here.

Btw, the DIY is very good, posted by laguna, but it is very time consuming and very involved... I have not had a chance to tackle it yet so I can't say for certainty about it working.

My biggest problem was the creaking over dips and uneven surfaces, especially when the car was in the sun. This DIY completely fixed that. I get rattling from the back seats in my e92 when it is cold, but once the car warms up, it is fine.

Many rattles but not from the rear area... yet . And yes, I have the power rear sunshade option too. Hey, if you only have that rattle, consider yourself lucky. I'd trade all the mid-car/dash rattles for your rear one . Thankfully, mine are continuous; mostly over rough pavement. Also tired of tire noise, but hope new tires will change that. Good luck.

Wedge some 3M foam tape between the deck and the C (?) pillar.. basically where the back seat deck meets the interior trim. I keep the thick and thin foam tape variants under my trunk floor.
