New aFe 3" Exhaust POLL

Would you rather have aFe Power manufacture:

(a) a full 3" one piece straight pipe race exhaust from down pipe back (similar to HPF setup but three inch resonated)

or

(b) a 3" modular mid pipe that can be a stand alone mod or mated with any aftermarket or stock axle back (similar in design with better quality to the custom mid pipe attached below)

would having the midpipe paired with the current aFe axel back essentially create option a?

both (a) and (b) have their pros and cons. (a) would be a single piece with a new resonater design while (b) has the option of using any axle back you have or want. each setup caters to a different crowd so we're just trying to gauge what the community needs. please vote!

you have an opportunity to influence what's ultimately manufactured

Definitely like option B. I already have a decent axelback, and am working on downpipes. would like to have the option to get rid of the secondary cats in my N54 mid-pipes. Yes I could replace it with the N55 version, but i like the 3" option.

Very interested!

Option B would be the best, because those with an axel back only would be able to purchase the midpipe without modding to fit it. I have an original RR 3in midpipe back and with the falange thats on it, I cant fit any other axel back without cutting and welding a new falange.

i know what you mean. that was my first aftermarket exhaust and it had its drawbacks. i'm working with aFe to make sure this midpipe has better clearance for the four downpipe bolts. DIY guys should have zero problems bolting this up.
