Just did the Evotech ECU Flash
on my 2011 135i...it added 52 hp to the wheels and 70 lbs of torque per the dyno. Next week I am adding the AFE cold air intake and Active Autowerke Exhaust.

Any time the car's SW is flashed new... the DME has to re-learn things, fuel type, load, how the driver rolls onto the gas pedal or going WOT. This all takes around 400 miles or so. Wether you take your car into the BMW dealer for a new SW update or have a performance (flash) tune done... you will need to drive your car a while before it will make full power - that its capable of making.
I am not talking about taking it easy, like when a car is new, for the "break in" service. I just mean that "the software needs time to learn" before it will make full power. As good as a flash tune feels at first... after some time and miles... it will really feel stronger - as it adapts and learns. |
