Re-Sealing 3 Piece Wheel HELP....
Alright I am in the process of re-sealing my 3-pc wheels. I was told to use either "GE Silicone II Window & Door Sealant" or "High Temp RTV Silicone" after doing some additional research I have read that the RTV isnt the best to use and predominately CCW's website is the only place that stated using the GE silicone was "OK".
I have searched the net and found this: http://www.sila-seal.com/Industrial-...Silicones.html I called Work USA and spoke with Logan, he recommended an "Industrial Grade High Temp Sealant", this seems to cover all the requirements. I am just curious if anyone with any experience in resealing wheels has any input and what you used and or if anyone has experience with this product listed. Thanks in advance Kyle

I don't have any direct experience with resealing wheels but I use GE silicone very very often for tons of different purposes. Provided you prep the area well (cleaning to remove grease and such), I think that will be fine. I don't believe that high temperature sealant is required. Regular silicone is good to at least 300F.
