Cruel and Unusual Sentence Served...I'm Almost Free!!!
Well the time has almost arrived. Took my M3 in this morning for 1200 mile service, clear bra and dark as legal all the way around. Not scheduled for pick up untill tomorrow afternoon.
So in the meantime...328i loaner. Talk about a limp wang after driving a 335 for 3 years and a M3 for a month, but good things come to those who wait...or so I'm told. I will put up pics of the Virgin Queen when I pick her up tomorrow before her de-flowering. |

BTW is anyone on here UberM3 ? Saw your car this morning at BMW of North Houston when I dropped mine off. Great looking car. Nice CF spoiler and front ground effects.

The real cruel and unusual part comes when you figure out how much fuel that 328 loaner drinks - after driving it like an M3 / 335.

Ever try switching the 328 into "manual" mode? I thought that might add some fun to the loaner. Lasted all of 10 minute before I couldn't stand it and put it back into automatic. Biggest difference (obviously) is on turns/offramps where the 328i's tires squeal while the M3 never had this issue. Almost feels like driving a minivan.

Lets try this again....
Sooooo. Due to pick up Friday afternoon, but about lunch time I get a call from my SA who leaves a message. "1200 mile service complete, Tint complete....but.....Clear bra guy forgot to bring his materials to do the job... wont be able to do the job untill Monday" What kind of moron goes to do a job without raws or tools? I'm not sure I even want this idiot to touch my car. Then SA says "you can leave the car here at the shop and pick up at lunch on Monday, or come pick it up today" WTF!!! is this guy thinking. Sure I'm paying all this money for this car so that I can park it at the dealer and never drive it when there absolutely nothing wrong with the car. Needless to say I'm on the phone quickly educating this guy as to what is going to happen. I get to the dealer and car looks tough with the tint, very pleased. Even with ClearBra fiasco and all I am feelin good and ready to roll...just one problem now..Apparenty monsoon season has come to Houston on the day I pick up my M3. Anyone who is familiar with Houston knows that traffic here blows...especially on a Friday and especially when it is raining. Well as you can see not exactly the conditions to open up the car for the first time. So the wait continued...untill this morning when I woke up at about 7:30 to see this... Hallelujah....Hallelujah I just got back from getting some breakfast..the roads were practically empty and I chose a route that had some nice twsties off the beaten path....All I can say is WOW!!! Car is amazing over 5500 rpm's. I am going to have to really watch myself in this thing. I can forsee a lot of tickets in this thing if not carefull. Will definitely be adding a radar detector. Taking car back Monday for clear bra and then I'm done...for a while. |
