245/35/19 and 275/30/19

Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone is running this setup. I know the sizes are different than most, but it was recommended by a trusted shop for Hankook Ventus V12s. Thanks!

If keeping OEM rims I would go with 255/35/19 up front and 275/30/19 in the rear. I have seen people put a 285/30/19 on the back too, OEM rims of course. I am personally running 265/30/19 and 295/30/19 on my aftermarket rims right now.

You'll want to go with a 295 in the rear if you're going to use a 30 profile as the diameter of a 275/30 is significantly less than stock. Of course a 295 will not fit on OEM rims.

You want any of the following:

245/35 and 275/35
245/35 and 285/30
255/35 and 275/35
255/35 and 285/30

These will fit stock non-ZCP wheels. Best fit will be with the 255/35 and 275/35

245/35 and 275/30 is not a suitable combination for the M3.

Can I ask what the implications would be as far as not being suitable? I understand it would fit, but isn't ideal, so can you explain the downside for me please?

As noted above, a 275/30 has a diameter significantly less than stock. Effects will be milage and speed being greater than distance / speed actually travelled.

Also, your ride will be a bit harsher, your fender gap increased and DSC will kick in a little prematurely

I have Hankook Ventus V12 Evo tires on mine. 255-35 ZR 19 in the front and 275-35 ZR 19 in the rear. I am also using H&R 15mm (front) and 12mm (rear) spacers with the factory 220M wheels. Works great. No noticeable change in ride from stock setup and no issues with rubbing etc.

Most people are running 255/35R19 and 275/35R19. The M3 GTS (uses ZCP wheels, just painted black) has 255/35R19 and 285/30R19 but that rear size will limit your tire choices.

Just stick with OEM size or the two I mentioned above. No need to go crazy for a street driven car.

yea... I was thinking running GTS rear 285/30/19 but PSS doesn't even have that size...

so 275/35/19 for rear will be no rub at all without spacers?

275/35R19 fits just fine on stock suspension without spacers. It fills the wheel wells nicely:

nice!

my front tires are still relatively new, if i run 245/35/19 front and 275/35/19 rear, would it be too much difference between front and rear, too much understeer?
