Was your Z4 love at first site?
The first time i saw a Z4 inperson was probably Dec 2002, i kind of thought the car looked like a protoype car that wasn't quite ready for production. But now i think it one of the most striking cars on the road, and it should age well. So my questions are:

I fell in love with the cars the minute I set eyes on a yellow Z3. The cars have evolved since then, but I still think they are the best looking cars on the road.

the answers in the poll don't make sense. The first choice is the same as the question. How do you answer a question with the same question!

I actually never saw an M Coupe in person until I picked up mine during delivery. I did however see a Z4 Coupe.
Here's a story for you. I go to the military sales dealership looking for an M3 to buy before I leave Europe. I get there and find out they aren't building anymore until 08. So I'm like shit...what the hell do I do now...and Bob (our sales guys) is like well we just got these new 335is. And I'm like who cares? I want a friggin M car man. So we leave. Me and the wife go home and check out BMWs website and we're like whoa...what is that? The new car of the day is...yup you guessed it the M coupe. So we go back to vist Bob and we're like "Bob what the hell why didn't you tell us about this?". So we were like ok...but maybe we'll still get a Porsche Cayenne (cuz we didn't know if we wanted something big or little. So a month or so later we go back and staring us in the face when we walk in the door is a Z4 Coupe. Bob sees me and my wife walk and our jaws hit the floor and he says "We just got it in...isn't it beautiful" And I'm like hell yes. (It was black with sport package and red interior and ///M seats, wierd how that works huh). So...that's it we were sold and we sat down and decided we wanted the ///M based mostly on the fact that it would be fun for us to drive while we were still in our 20s and the fact that the Porsche would have cost us about 10 grand more. So I may not have seen the ///M...but the Z4 Coupe in my colors was definately love at first sight, and it definately happened all over again when I picked up my car at the dealer. That's another good story, but I'll save it for another day.

In November 2002 a Titanium Silver Z4 3.0i came over a bridge toward me and I almost wrecked my 323i. I turned around and followed it back to the dealer. It was on a test drive. I know then that I would have one.
i did however see pictures in publications prior to that and was not very impressed. To this day, I believe the car looks better in person than in print. |

The first answer on the poll should have read "Love at first sight."
This was my first sight of the Coupé: ^^2006 Paris Auto Show. I immediately became obsessed with the car, and here I am now. I wasn't even looking for a new car at the time! As for the Roadster, its looks had to grow on me, and I like it now. Back when it first came out, though, I just wasn't too sure... (I'm being polite here.) |
