McLoven's Detail
It has been hot as hell in the northeast, so what do I decide to do on this glorious 4th of July?
First I vacuumed the interior and dressed the leather with poorboy's interior dressing and a microfiber towel. I also cleaned the windows with McGuiar's glass cleaner. Second I cleaned the wheels and tires with P21s wheel cleaner. I use the Daytona wheel brush to get clean the inner part of the wheels and the channels behind the spokes. I then clean the spokes with a Mcguiar's wheel brush. Third I did a full wash with Mcguiar's car wash and lambskin mitt. Next I dried with a microfiber towel, making sure to get into all the little crevices. Little bits of water coming out while I am buffing absolutely pisses me off. LOL. I let it dry in the sun for about an hour until the evening when the shade starts to pass over my driveway. Next I started the buffing process. I started with an orbital buffer and Mcguiar's 105 ultra cut comp. I have not used this product before but I read good things about it on these forums from professional detailers so I decided to give it a try. I must say it works great but is a PITA to work with. I applied with the buffer and removed by hand using a microfiber towel. This product does not come off easily. I spent at least two hours on this step. It reminds me of the Klass AIO polish. Works great but make sure there are no kids or seniors around because you will be doing a lot of swearing while using it. Next I used Poorboy's professional polish to get a nice shine. For those of you that have not used Poorboy's products they are great. No hassle on and off. Then it started to get late so I but her in the garage and will seal her tomorrow. Here are a few pics. |
