I got BAD GAS!.....don't go.....to this Esso!
This Esso station in Trier has bad fuel. I don't know exactly what is wrong with it but it causes a check engine light in both of my vehicles.
KAISERSTR 30-31 54290 TRIER RHINELAND PALATINATE Germany 0651-9940740 http://essofuelfinder.com/home.php?c...e82fc7a40ffd8c Some of you may remember a few weeks ago when I had the SES light come on. I had assumed it was due to my DP because even though it is catted they have been known to still throw codes occasionally. Eventually the light went away soon I filled up on base and I have had zero issues since then....until today. The SES came back less than 5k after I filled up with fuel in Trier. This makes the second time this has happened immediately after refueling that station so I know something is wrong. And I think it's no coincidence the one time I filled up off base with my Audi was at that station.....and I got a check engine light then too. In hind sight I should have been convinced last time but the DP just seemed to make more sense. This sucks because it the only Esso anywhere close but if any of you guys are local or passing through and need to fuel up, avoid this station. On Base in Spang or the Esso in Hermeskeil are the next closest stations.

Man that sucks! I followed just to this other Esso on the way back North to our hotel. This Esso did not honor ANY Esso credit or US forces Esso cards! They even had signs posted. I asked the guy How can THAT be? He said they are a "free gas station" and do not honor Esso cards!
Since Justin was on fumes he just paid them some euros. I never have heard of an independent gas station that sells brand name fuels.

only the first part of your thread title showed at first. was going to suggest Bean-O. When I was stationed overseas, I preferred Agip gas. Not a fan of Esso.

IF we pay what the Germans are paying for fuel... thats $2.20 per liter! Or $8.34 per gallon.
