My "new" 2011 X6 50i
Hey Guys,
Well after a couple of months of searching I finally found just what I wanted. Although the car was located just outside of Chicago (Elmhearst BMW) it was such a super deal that my wife and I flew to Chicago to pick the car up and enjoy a wonderful roadtrip back the Tallahassee. 2011 50i with only 2,400 miles on it. Vermillion Red Sand Beige perforated Nevada Leather Sports Package Adaptive Drive Cold Weather Package Premium Package Soft close doors Active Steering Heads up Display Premium Sound Active Ventilated seats Rear Climate Control Lane Departure warning Rear Seat Entrertainment Pkg Nav I had never driven an X6 50i before but I had driven the 35i and I was very impressed nun the less I was very apprehensive that I would find out after I arrived that something was amiss. The old adage "If it's too good to be true, it must not be kept playing in my mind. However the car was just as they said, Perfect, without a blemish. How they keep the floor mats clean is beyond me! I love the car! I had read so much about the sound (exhaust) that I was affraid I would be dissappointed. I wasn't. That sweet spot comes early with that throaty sound at low RPMs and stays there as long as you keep your foot down a little more than necessary for easy driving. 10.1 MPG but I just can't keep my foot out of it! The transmission is my favorite. It works great in regular automatic as well as sports and manual. |

Rob,
Yea, the adaptive drive and active steering are great! I don't think that the ventilated seats do much though. We'll see how they do this winter but with the fan on high I can't feel any air coming out. Window sticker was $86,675. I paid $61,900. ricosan |

Air generally does not "come out" of the perforations leather seats. Rather, the fan's BLOW cabin air across the seat and that cools them (at least that is the way it works in my '06 750Li with heated/ventilated seats & it IS noticeable after a tennis match in the evenings). You would not use the ventilation part in the winter.

That's just like my X6! However yours is so loaded it had to be a BMW car no?
Does Michal still work there? (PS - I would have been happy to check out the car for you as the dealer is just down the street - alas, Elmhurst BMW is a decent place to do business with and I am not surprised that you had a good experience.)

Thanks guys. My first modification will be 20" wheels.
Doug, I almost started to post to see if anyone could go by and check it out but never got around to it. It was such a good deal the price was suspicious considering it had so few miles on it. Any how, thanks for the offer. I'll remember to do that next time. ricosan |
