US delivery after ED
For those that did the ED and have received your car back in the states, what has been your turn around time? Trying to debate when to ship out my vehicle.

Over the years, I've done 5 EDs. I believe that BMW quotes 6 - 8 weeks from drop-off to re-delivery, but for me, it's always been 4 - 5 weeks to the Boston area. I've dropped off in Geneva, Vienna, Rome, Nice and Amsterdam.

Yeah they have been saying 8 weeks and I figured that was the cautious talk. I was hoping it was more like 2-4. Such a tease and dilemma to drive it more now in europe and wait longer back in the states or drive a little less and then ship it back early.

I had 9/1 ED and dropped the car off on 9/1 and it just got loaded on a ship yesterday. Scheduled to hit NY port on 9/26, so hoping for delivery on 10/1 or 10/2. So delivery for me is about 4.5 weeks.

Thanks, that's not to bad and this is during the big rush. I'll be sending mine to the east coast as well.

I didn't think about asking a dealer for a service loaner. But I will be dealing with a dealer fresh since I did all my purchasing factory direct. I'll have to shoot some emails and see what they say.
